Following the conviction of a man who obtained cats on Gumtree and used them as live bait for his dogs, watching as the dogs ripped these live animals apart, I want all selling sites to have a ban on advertising animals for sale or rehoming. People need to use rescue or rehoming centres where appropriate checks are put in place. 

This man is not the only person doing this.

People are believing that they are sending their animals to good homes, where they are going to be looked after and loved. Instead they run the risk of them being horrifically and brutally treated. 

Please stop these sites from advertising live animals.
