Britain is a country very much in love with our furry friends, whether its a cat, dog, rabbit, parrot etc. Kennels and catteries are a reassuring lifeline when people decide to go on holiday. We are the forgotten industry. There is no help available for us at present. Our income has fell off a cliff since March through no fault of our own. Businesses in this sector are closing and some will never open again, I'm without doubt more will follow. This isn't just a business, people are losing their homes,  most kennels and catteries have their homes attached to them!!! We employed 4 staff and gave placements to two students each year at the beginning of this pandemic, we have no staff left and placements to offer students. Every single restriction imposed, whether for foreign travel or local travel, has and continues to have, a significant impact on this industry. We rely on people travelling and we should be entitled to the same on going support travel companies, hotels etc receive. Why should we be missed out? We need the government to take notice of our struggles and do the right thing and support an industry so many people rely on come holiday season.
