Stop Aldi from destroying birds' homes

The Issue

Aldi is set to build a new shop near Broughty Ferry, but has plans to cut down a small woodland and replace it with short bushes. Jeannie Cooper, a local conservationist, has observed that the trees provide a home for many types of wildlife including birds, insects and rabbits.

The human race has already destroyed too many natural landscapes and we can't afford to lose any more. These trees also help fight climate change by storing carbon produced by burning fossil fuels. Cutting them down and replacing them will not only destroy this valuable carbon store but release more into the atmosphere by disturbing the soil.

If you care about nature and the future of our planet, please sign this petition and email your local council and Aldi! No action is too small!
