Reduce the inflated delivery charges for the Highlands of Scotland

Everyone who lives further North than Inverness or even Perth will know the struggle and injustice of delivery prices. The Highlands gets placed in with the Islands category and is therefore charged for Island logistic delivery.
Caithness, Sutherland and Ross-Shire are three enormous counties on the MAINLAND and Caithness only holds a Kirkwall postcode as it is their closest geographical city as the crow flies.
- Caithness = 618 sq miles
- Sutherland = 2028 sq miles
- Ross-shire = 3089 sq miles
- Totalling 5735 square miles of mainland currently being charged Island rates.
I believe everyone is at the end of their tether spending out on unnecessary postage fees. If the delivery charges were fair companies would buy more products from independent suppliers and less from Amazon, therefore supporting UK businesses.
The Mainland Highlands are being disadvantaged, struggling to hold competitive pricing as these postage costs have to be covered.
If a company can deliver to Lands End for free...they can do the same for John o Groats. The roads are actually worse to get to Cornwall!
Please sign to bring this vast waste of our hard earned money to the attention of the Scottish Government.
