Get government funding for the SSPCA

Get government funding for the SSPCA
The Issue
There are so many animals that are abandoned and left to fend for themselves. The SSPCA (Scottish Society for Prevention to Cruelty to Animals) takes in these animals and cares for them until they can find them a home. The SSPCA look after around 15,000 animals a year.
Unlike the RSPCA, who only work in England and Wales, the SSPCA receives no government funding and because of Covid-19 they haven't been able to do any fundraising. The people who work at the SSPCA have still attended every call out and have managed to look after every animal that they have brought in.
The SSPCA do amazing work and have saved many animals lives but why should they have to work on fundraising and donations alone. The RSPCA get government funding and donations from the public. Together we could get closer to getting funding for the SSPCA and save more lives than before, which could help so many animals all across Scotland and build more shelters so that the SSPCA could look after them until they find them a forever home.
