On Tuesday 27th of Febuary a Good Samaritan rescued a dog from severe neglect. The dog ironically named Lucky was left alone in a garden with no access to food or water. He had a small wooden hut as his only means of shelter that had a huge hole in the bottom. The owners left him with no regard to his wellbeing despite a red weather warning being in place & temperatures dropping.
They took the dog, provided him with food & shelter & informed Police & SSPCA. On Thursday 1st of March they were informed that unless the dog was handed back charges would be brought against the rescuers & that in order for the SSPCA to investigate the dog had to be returned.
Heartbreakingly Lucky was returned today Friday 2nd of March at 11.30am on the agreement SSPCA would attend & check his welfare within the hour. The SSPCA have failed this poor dog & at the time of compiling this petition at 22.41 they haven’t provided any information that they have attended.
Lucky deserves a proper investigation something the SSPCA have so far failed to provide.
WE WONT STOP FIGHTING UNTIL LUCKY IS REMOVED AS THE OWNERS HAVE STATED THEY DONT FEEL THEY HAVE DONE ANYTHING WRONG.
