For far too long now, Scottish football has been controlled by a tiny, rich privileged minority. These people do not represent the normal, working class football fan who spends their valuable, hard earned money on a season ticket every year. This is an embarrassment and a disgrace for Scottish Football. Scotland, which is a proud footballing nation that has tonnes of rich history in our beloved ball game. The recent Covid-19 pandemic has made it very clear that the honest, hard-working football supporters who fund our nations game have no say in what happens to it - despite how much they contribute to it. The fact that we are at risk of seeing the championship, League 1 and League 2 cancelled is a massive concern as the teams who participate in these leagues do not have a big brand that they can rely on to bring in profit through merchandise sales. 99% of their financing is through gate receipts. Cancelling these leagues would also be massively unfair on teams who have put so much hard work into their seasons but would get no recognition for it as they are currently situated in the playoff places so wouldn’t be able to claim automatic promotion. This must be the final straw for the SFA. Sign this petition to ensure that all future decision are made by true Scottish football fans.
