Scotland's National Scenic Areas (NSAs) cover some of the finest landscapes of Europe, if not the world. Last year, Highland Council granted permission for an industrial turbine development in the heart of the famed Assynt and Coigach NSA on the mountainside behind Achiltibuie. This is the proverbial thin end of the wedge. We would like to ask the Scottish First Minister to call in and revoke this application, and to impose a statutory ban on wind turbine developments in Scotland's National Scenic Areas.
