Make Scottish Citylink change their pet policy and allow dogs to travel on the bus

The Issue

Citylink bus travel around Scotland is so out of touch with other transport. They do not allow dogs to travel unless they can fit in a pet carrier under the seat.

There are areas in Scotland that the only public transport available is these buses. My daughter has moved from Glasgow to Lochgilphead for work and misses the dog so much. For me to travel there I must take a train to Oban then a bus (West Coast Motors) to Lochgilphead which takes three times as long as a direct bus from Glasgow and triple the price. This is the only way I can bring the dog.

West Coast Motors who run the bus service in Aryll and Bute allow dogs on the buses and coaches no problem. However the West Coast Motors bus from Glasgow to Campbelltown is run on behalf of Citylink so no dogs allowed.

I think this is unfair and the policy needs changed to be in line with others.

Even if dogs had to be booked on the bus with a limit of the number of dogs at one time.

Please help by signing this petition to allow my old dog (and many others) to travel on the bus in order she can see my daughter
