It has been suggested to me that my ethical obligations as a legal practitioner potentially extend to not calling publically for this inquiry and not restating the allegations in the manner I have. My response is that I believe that it is Christian Porter's legal and ethical obligations that are in question here! Calling for a formal independent inquiry into an alleged rape is not behaving unethically, to suggest such could lead to a culture of coverup in the legal profession which I consider to be unacceptable and the opposite to justice
