Name the Australian bushfires "The Morrison Fires"

Name the Australian bushfires "The Morrison Fires"
Dozens dead. Thousands homeless. Entire ecosystems annihilated. Yet our prime minister Scott Morrison is busier holidaying in Hawaii, watching NYE fireworks and playing cricket than he is addressing the national catastrophe that is this horrific season of bushfires. He may not "hold a hose", but if he let go of his precious surplus we could properly pay and resource our firies.
By refusing to meet with the 22 former fire and safety chiefs who forewarned him months ago, ignoring the obvious effects of global heating, and continuing to support the fossil fuel industry including the Adani mine, we believe that Scott Morrison holds a good deal of responsibility for the destruction sweeping our country. We want to call these fires "The Morrison Fires" so that nobody forgets that while our firies were dying, Scott Morrison was relaxing on the beach.
While they're at it, the government can help by:
- The immediate resignation of Scott Morrison
- Removing the $6000 cap on payments to firefighters, and extend payments to every state
- Hiring overseas firefighting aircraft to help tackle the blazes
- A Royal Commission into the bushfire crisis
- No new coal, oil and gas projects, including the Adani mine.
- 100% renewable energy generation & exports by 2030
- Funding a just transition & job creation for all fossil-fuel workers & communities.
