In 2019, some Iranian LGBTQ refugee cases were handed to the Australian Embassy in Turkey for resettlement in a safe country. After more than two years many of these LGBTQ refugees are still waiting for a call from the immigration office of Australia.

These LGBTQ refugees are vulnerable and they had to leave Iran because of their situation there. It is very obvious that there is no future for the LGBTQ community in Iran with the current regime in power. As for a fact, when the sexual orientation of a gay man is unveiled, nothing other than a death sentence is expected for him in the Islamic sharia law of Iran. If the family finds out, a threat of an honour killing always hovers above the head of that person. An incident of the latter can be read in Amnesty International's report: Alireza, an Iranian gay man was decapitated by his family after his sexual orientation was leaked. A year since that monstrous act there is still no legal case opened to find the facts and the perpetrators are at large and have not been punished.

All the LGBTQ refugees who ask for asylum in Turkey experience a situation similar to what they did in Iran; they face violence from the Turkish society. They do not have medical insurance or the right to work. After two years, a few of these LGBTQ refugees who are waiting for their resettlement have still heard nothing from the government and immigration office of Australia although their cases have been referred to the Australian government by United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees for resettlement and according to the report from the immigration office of Australia, they are on the priority list. These LGBTQ refugees experience difficult times waiting, and many of them are suffering from mental issues leading some to commit suicide.

2019 wurden die Fälle einiger iranischer LGBTQ-Flüchtlinge an die australische Botschaft in der Türkei zum Resettlement in einem sicheren Land übergeben. Nach mehr als zwei Jahren warten viele dieser LGBTQ-Flüchtlinge immer noch auf eine Rückmeldung von der australischen Einwanderungsbehörde.

Diese LGBTQ-Flüchtlinge sind schutzbedürftig und mussten den Iran aufgrund der dortigen Situation verlassen. Es ist ganz offensichtlich, dass es für die LGBTQ-Gemeinschaft im Iran mit diesem Regime an der Macht keine Zukunft gibt. Wenn die sexuelle Orientierung eines schwulen Mannes enthüllt wird, erwartet ihn nach dem islamischen Scharia-Recht des Iran nichts anderes als ein Todesurteil, und wenn die Familie davon erfährt, droht dieser Person ein Ehrenmord. Ein Beispiel für dafür findet sich im Bericht von Amnesty International: Alireza, ein iranischer Homosexueller, wurde von seiner Familie enthauptet, nachdem seine sexuelle Orientierung bekannt geworden war. Ein Jahr nach dieser ungeheuerlichen Tat wurde noch immer kein Gerichtsverfahren eröffnet, um die Fakten zu klären, und die Täter sind auf freiem Fuß und wurden nicht bestraft.

Alle LGBTQ-Flüchtlinge, die in der Türkei um Asyl bitten, erleben eine ähnliche Situation wie im Iran: Sie sind der Gewalt der türkischen Gesellschaft ausgesetzt. Sie sind weder krankenversichert noch haben sie das Recht zu arbeiten.

Nach zwei Jahren haben einige dieser LGBTQ-Flüchtlinge, die auf ihre Neuansiedlung warten, immer noch nichts von der australischen Regierung und der Einwanderungsbehörde gehört, obwohl ihre Fälle vom Hohen Flüchtlingskommissar der Vereinten Nationen (UNHCR) zum Resettlement an die australische Regierung verwiesen wurden und sie laut dem Bericht der australischen Einwanderungsbehörde auf der Prioritätenliste stehen. Diese LGBTQ-Flüchtlinge erleben eine schwere Zeit des Wartens, und viele von ihnen leiden unter psychischen Problemen, die bei einigen zu Selbstmord führen.

Wir bitten Sie dringend, diese Petition zu unterzeichnen, um ihnen eine Stimme zu geben und ihnen zu helfen, indem Sie die australische Regierung auffordern, ihre Resettlement Fälle schneller zu bearbeiten.

در سال ۲۰۱۹ پرونده تعدادی از پناه‌جویان ال‌جی‌بی‌تی‌کیوی ایرانی از سوی دفتر کمیساریای عالی پناهندگان سازمان ملل در ترکیه برای بازاسکان در کشوری امن به سفارت استرالیا فرستاده شد. بعد از گذشت بیش از دو سال هنوز بسیاری از این افراد منتظر تماس از طرف اداره‌ی مهاجرت استرالیا و در انتظار بازاسکان در استرالیا هستند. این پناه‌جویان ال‌جی‌بی‌تی‌کیو افراد آسیب‌پذیری هستند که به خاطر شرایط ایران مجبور به ترک این کشور و آمدن به ترکیه شده‌اند، همه‌ی شما می‌دانید که آینده‌ای برای افراد ال‌جی‌بی‌تی‌کیو در ایران وجود ندارد، به طور مثال در صورت  افشای گرایش جنسی یک مرد همجنس‌گرا چیزی جز اعدام در قوانین ایران و یا قتل به وسیله‌ی خانواده در انتظار او نیست، نمونه‌ی این اتفاق را در گزارش سازمان عفو بین‌الملل استرالیا می‌توانید مطالعه کنید. علیرضا یک مرد همجنس‌گرای ایرانی بود که بعد از افشای گرایش جنسی‌اش از سوی خانواده‌اش به قتل رسید. خانواده‌ی او سرش را قطع کردند و هرگز پرونده‌ای برای یافتن حقیقت باز نشد و عاملان جنایت هرگز مجازات نشدند

تمامی پناه‌جویان ال.جی‌بی‌تی‌کیو که در ترکیه درخواست پناهندگی می‌دهند شرایطی شبیه به ایران را تجربه می‌کنند، مورد خشونت جامعه‌ی ترکیه قرار می‌گیرند، و حق کار و بیمه سلامتی ندارند

اکنون بیش از دو سال تعدادی از این افراد که سال‌ها در ترکیه منتظر بازاسکان در کشور امن هستند پاسخی از دولت و اداره‌ی مهاجرت استرالیا دریافت نمی‌کنند. با وجود اینکه پرونده‌ی این افراد از سوی کمیساریای عالی پناهندگان سازمان ملل به دولت استرالیا برای بازاسکان پیشنهاد شده است و طبق گفته‌ی خود مسئولان اداره مهاجرت استرالیا در اولویت باز اسکان قرار دارند آن‌ها همچنان در انتظار روزهای سختی را پشت سر می‌گذارند. به دلیل فشار بسیار زیاد روانی بسیاری از آن‌ها دست به خودکشی می‌زنند
