Friends, we have new hope for Priya and her family. Media is reporting that Immigration Minister Alex Hawke is considering allowing Tharni to apply for a visa. Now more than ever, I need your help.

Please, can you email the Immigration Minister and thank him for taking this step and urge him to free this family? Please remember to be polite and respectful at all times.

The news that Minister Hawke is considering allowing Tharni to apply for a visa gives us a glimmer of much-need hope. This is a promising step from a Minister who has always had the power to let this family come home to Biloela.

As soon as Minister Hawke looks at the facts, I truly believe that my friends will be reunited and released from immigration detention. Priya and her family just want to be safe and free. Can you politely let the Minister know that, and send him an email right now?

Overnight, thousands more of people have joined our campaign, urging politicians to let our friends come back #HomeToBilo. Now we are 460,000+ strong. Last night, a beautiful candlelight vigil took place outside Perth Children’s Hospital, and tonight one will happen in Sydney.

It feels as though nearly the entire nation wants this beautiful family to come home, where they will be safe and loved. We have done so much together, now we just need to keep going. Let’s do this for Priya, Tharni, Kopika, and Nades.

With hope,

Angela

PS - There is a candlelight vigil in Sydney for Tharni on Thursday at 5pm at Hyde Park. Please share the event with your friends and family in Sydney and show your support for the Biloela family.
