Dear Supporters,

I have been absolutely blown away by the number of you who have taken the time to sign this petition, to chip in to help share it, and to post comments outlining why you signed. The petition is heading upwards of 23,000 and still rising.

I wanted to let you know that I have just forwarded this petition to Josh Frydenberg's office. I added in my own personal message

"To the Treasurer Josh Frydenberg,

I am forwarding to you the petition I created calling for an unconditional apology for your actions 2 weeks ago.

I was appalled by your 'speeches" against a "wellness" budget on 26th and 27th February in the House of Reps. I was appalled as a non-practising Jew, someone who abhors anti-semitism as you do, but also abhors any kind of prejudice. I was appalled as a yoga practitioner (for over 10 years) and I was appalled as a survivor of cancer who has followed a natural wellness lifestyle to stay healthy for the past 15 years. Mostly I was appalled that a senior Member of Parliament, who only days before had acknowledged the danger of the rise of the far right, abused his position by standing up on the floor of parliament and performed a so-called "comedy routine" to denigrate millions of Australians who follow Hinduism, Buddhism, Hare Krishna, Yoga, Meditation and, or a lifestyle of wellness, to make a political point. Whether or not you meant to cause offence or not is utterly irrelevant. The point is you did.

I was so appalled that I created a petition calling for you to give an unconditional apology for your speeches. To date this petition has over 22,000 signatories. I urge you to look at the comments on the petition to get a take on the depth of disappointment and offence felt by so many across the nation. I sincerely hope you will find it in your heart to apologise unreservedly for your bigoted performance 2 weeks ago.
