While almost every other province and territory in Canada is on the verge of mandating COVID-19 vaccines, it's disturbing to think that Alberta and Saskatchewan are not following through.  The Omicron variant has made its way to SK, with cases rising drastically and hospitalizations not far behind. We're virtually at square one again.

It's true that you can still catch and spread the virus even if you're vaccinated. However, it's also been proven, time and time again, that vaccines reduce the severity of illness and hospitalization if you do happen to catch COVID.  So why in the world aren't they mandated by now?

Unless they want the pandemic to go on for longer than it already has, Premier Scott Moe, Paul Merriman, and the Saskatchewan Party should consider mandating vaccines.  Premier Moe has issued a statement (actually a few statements now) saying that he won't mandate them... but maybe if someone in power sees this petition, the change will happen.
