Please help us shut down the 501c Rescue known as Raven Wood Animal Sanctuary.
The Issue
- On July 24, 2020 several rescues were called in to remove over 170 dogs in deplorable conditions. Most were Seniors. Most had spent their entire lives in kennels with no training, socialization or rehabbing for the very reason they ended up at Raven Wood. This is NOT rescue. This is unacceptable to all rescues who do it right. What is right? Committing 100 percent by getting full resources to help the dog you have taken in heal "body, mind and soul". Raven Wood is the very opposite of what REAL rescues do..They caused unbearable pain and suffering for the dogs brought there, "we have full vetting reports" and are again taking in dogs. Please sign this petition and let Tangipahoa Parish know we will not accept this treatment located in said Parish any longer.

- We the undersigned, are asking for a thorough inspection and investigation of Raven Wood Animal Sanctuary to determine compliance with statutory requirements for proper care of animals (to include review of recent findings and evidence from July 24, 2020), prosecution for animal neglect and cruelty, with penalty that the facility and 501c3 be shut down, and Raven Wood be precluded from owning animals and holding itself out as rescue and/or collecting animals or donations as a rescue.
