Many students live in an apartment complex owned by the Scion Community (the apartments are advertised towards students). However, with fall 2020 being mainly online due to COVID-19, many would like to terminate their contracts with Scion. On top of this, many do not feel safe in the community. Many have expressed how they have felt discriminated against, even though the management tries to deny it.

The only option we currently have is to find someone to fill our spot. They have given us an “option” of going on a termination list and if 100% of those spots get filled only THEN will we be released from out contracts. We do not have an option of terminating by paying a fee. It is almost impossible to find someone to fill our spots so we want another way out. Our Contracts have not even started.

Many are jobless and do not have family pay for their rent. This is the least Scion can do for their residents. 

This petition started with UH Fullerton Residents and is now expanded to all Scion Community residents.
