Science, Not Ideology: A Petition to Restore Biological Reality

The Issue

Petition for the Protection of Biological Integrity and Women’s Rights in Canadian Law

Biological sex is not a feeling, a costume, or a social invention—it is the fundamental fabric of human existence. From conception, every cell in the human body is marked by our sex chromosomes: XX for female, XY for male. These biological markers influence not only our reproductive systems but also brain development, hormonal balance, bone density, and countless other physiological systems. This is not opinion—it is basic science.

Despite this unshakable truth, we are witnessing an unsettling trend in modern policy and healthcare, particularly targeting our most vulnerable: children. Under the term “gender-affirming care,” minors are being prescribed puberty blockers, introduced to cross-sex hormones, and even subjected to life-altering surgeries—procedures that carry significant risks including infertility, bone density loss, cardiovascular issues, and lifelong dependence on pharmaceutical intervention. Alarmingly, many of these interventions are being carried out without sufficient long-term studies or truly informed consent. The irreversible decisions being made for children—many of whom may be navigating temporary confusion or social pressure—raise urgent ethical and medical questions.

Beyond the dangers to youth, we must also address the erosion of women's rights and protections. For decades, women have fought hard for equal opportunities, safe spaces, and recognition of their unique biological experiences. Today, policies are being introduced that permit males—based on self-declared gender identity—to enter women’s shelters, prisons, sports, and bathrooms. These changes not only compromise women's safety and privacy, but they also dilute the meaning of womanhood itself.

This is not a matter of hate or exclusion. It is a matter of protecting truth, science, and the rights of both women and children. To conflate gender identity with biological sex is to reject decades of scientific advancement, dismantle crucial legal protections, and gamble with the health and well-being of an entire generation.

We, the undersigned, call upon the Government of Canada to:

Reinstate the legal recognition of biological sex in all areas of law and public policy.
Halt the promotion and implementation of irreversible gender-related medical treatments for minors until rigorous long-term research is available and ethical medical standards are upheld.
Protect women’s rights to single-sex spaces, sports, and services, preserving the hard-earned gains of the feminist movement.
Ensure that policies reflect biological and scientific reality, not ideological trends or subjective identity claims.
This is not about denying anyone’s lived experience. It is about ensuring that Canadian laws are grounded in truth, evidence, and compassion—especially for those who cannot speak for themselves.

The future of our children, the dignity of women, and the stability of our society depend on it.
