I am proposing the Jersey Shore Senior Class 2020 holds it's graduation ceremony on June 6, 2020, in the high school parking lot with graduates receiving their diplomas together while apart for the last time ever while adhering to the social distancing guidelines of remaining at least 6 feet apart.  

Graduates would arrive in their vehicles along with their immediate family within a designated time slot and would be assigned a parking spot in alphabetical order with vehicles facing the school.  Each graduate would stand/sit in front of their vehicle which would allow them to remain 8 1/2 feet apart.  The cars would not be moved until the graduation ceremony is complete and the only people moving would be the graduates.  The stage could be placed in the middle of the visitor parking spots and the graduates could stand in a line of 10 while remaining 6 feet apart.  Once a graduate exits the stage, they would return to their vehicle and the next graduate could join the back of the line.  The graduating class would be able to turn their tassels together replacing noise makers in lieu of throwing caps to celebrate their accomplishment.

It is important that we, as students, have the opportunity to watch our classmates and friends graduate.  We have worked so hard for this opportunity to be taken away so fast.  If this option is not feasible, graduation could be postponed until a later date in the hopes that some restrictions would be lifted.  We need as much help as possible to try to make this happen.
