Vote against the extension of school and the overwhelming amount of work in EEB2

The Issue

The students of our school feel rightfully overworked and find the inexplicable decision to prolong the school year ridiculous, useless and unjust — the school has now shown us that students do not have a say in their own education and only give them the illusion of choice by making them believe their opinion matters when addressing issues at school; many students feel that the decisions taken by the direction, the management or the board of governors are detrimental to their mood and overall performance and productivity in school, which in turn will hurt the student’s ambitious futures; something easily preventable if they were simply not given unnecessary stress by people who they have never met, seen or heard about.

If you are a student yourself, it is guaranteed that you know the student-body better than any teacher or school-staff does. Many of us have friends or acquaintances who deal or have dealt with dreadful problems in their lives solely due to stress caused by school life; is it not problematic to have people fall into deep depressions which magically disappear right when holidays come around? All while the school pretends to care by hiring psychologists who gossip about their patient’s problems to other staff and holding workshops blaming teenage mental-issues on drugs, bullying and home but never the school itself.

The only way any change will be made is if we start to speak up against things we do not find right, the only way to change is to not play by their rules and get a grip on our education, to take control of our lives which do not belong to anyone except for us.

You know you want change.
