We the students of UIS & UIIS , have come together to bring about our concern on the outdated practice of pinafore which has been followed for decades.
This petition is an official request to change the girls uniform (pinafore) to pants ,shirts and vests being more comfortable to move around in our day to day activities . Many schools around Kuwait have allowed unisex uniform , promoting both freedom of choice and equality .
As girls , we have to always remain cautious about how we sit and how we walk . This is not practical when we attend school as we are always active doing something or the other .
Physical Education periods are periods where we are supposed to be physically active , playing sports that we enjoy like basketball and so on . But we are forced to play games like badminton , carroms , chess etc because the pinafore restricts us .
The school administration of UIS and UIIS being very open minded , mainly looking forward to the comfort of their students will surely not ignore this request/opinion and take keen interest to make this into motion as soon as possible .
Every individual including parents and students signing this petition looks forward to seeing our beloved establishment making the needed changes without discrimination and accepting the views and opinions of our younger girls who stand for their opinion and choices.The founder of this petition shall remain anonymous as we live in a society were a person with an opinion is either ignored or punished for having opinions or ideas
