As the Gillieston Heights suburb is growing and it is  one of the most beautiful community and new home to many residents. It is one of the fastest growing suburb of Maitland .

However, as a part of being new still we are waiting for facilities on the way for us in the  near future like supermarkets, childcare, better public school and many other facilities.

School bus is one of  those facilities we are waiting for a  long time. Our kids currently have to go to past of Davies st. on Cessnock road or Cessnock road opp. to Russell st. bus stop to catch school bus. This bus stop currently about 1 km walk for the most of the kids from their home. The school kids have to walk this distance in extreme weather conditions and cross traffic lights which makes it difficult and unsafe for few. 

There are many parents who are willing to send their kids to school by the school bus. Unfortunately, the current options are not safe for kids. The parents drop their kids by car also put more traffic load on Cessnock road which  has  long traffic queues, congestion and many reported accidents.

We are requesting to start school bus stop at existing bus stop on Redwood drive after pick up then bus can turn on roundabout  and continue to Cessnock road.
