Give the immigrants and refugees equal rights
The issue
Help us save and give refugees and immigrants equal rights!
Many refugees and immigrants move to Australia in order and hopes to achieve a better life from their homes based in war-zone countries. They escape from war and trauma which have ruined their lives and families and houses, therefore they deserve to be treated with dignity and respect and equality in Australia.
As a country who claims to have equal rights and resources we are committed to looking after the people in strife such as our refugees and immigrants. This means giving them good housing facilities by the government and not just any shabby old room with one bedroom including a toilet. Most of these people have families and often younger children therefore making it difficult for them to live in living conditions with just one room and a toilet.
As a country who is diverse and claims to be multicultural and promote different cultures, we must ensure these refugees feel welcomed by giving them food they are known to and are familiar with, keeping in mind they probably have just gone through traumatic situations such as concentration camps, ISIS camps, war-zones, and extreme climate changes such as earthquakes and tsunami's.
Therefore giving them food that feels like home will probably feel more comfortable and welcomed as a community, we can't just give them "vegemite on toast" or a "sausage sizzle" or just "weet bix", as most of these refugees and immigrants don't know what these are and keeping in mind that some of their religions and cultures don't permit them to eat most of these foods.
Therefore, as a government if we have already gone through the struggles of bringing them to our country we must strive even harder to make them feel like they are wanted and that they are safe now!
