“Biological sex” is meaningless, FCPS FLECAC declares

Parents, Family and Friends of FCPS Students

Mar 19, 2018 — On March 8, 2018, the FCPS sex education program furthered moving its agenda to the fringe unscientific philosophy that it is your brain that defines sex, and not biology. Agreeing that the term “biological sex” is meaningless, and thus should be removed from the FCPS sex education lessons, they voted overwhelmingly to fundamental change how “sex” is defined.

Of course, no scientific or medical group asserts this fringe thought, and they all define sex in biological terms.

This is why I feel it is critical that as many people as possible be made aware of the unscientific changes being made to our children’s sex education FLE program at Fairfax County Public Schools.

The narrative being taught, is that sex is “assigned at birth”, and it that assignment is not scientific since it is based on anatomy. It is your brain sex that matters, and so your sex is really defined by you, and only you. Biology is irrelevant, and meaningless, and thus should never be used in sex education.

The March 8, 2018 FLECAC meeting was full of radical changes and suggestions for the curriculum next year. They are also intent on removing as much reference to abstinence as they legally can.

What can we do? Here is what I suggest:

1) I encourage everyone who signed this petition to show up at the next FLECAC meeting, which is scheduled for April 12, 2018, to see for yourself the process and changes being made. It is important that more people witness firsthand the antics going on there, and the overwhelming lack of diverse community representation on the committee. The meeting meets at:

8115 Gatehouse Road
Falls Church, VA 22042,
Room 3050/3051 or Cafeteria if room fills past capacity
7 p.m. - 9 p.m
Try to arrive between 6-6:30

At the April meeting they will discuss removal of abstinence from lessons.

2) Write the school board, and Superintendent Dr. Scott Brabrand and voice your opposition to the Family Life Education changes being advised by an activist committee and insist they continue to define sex in scientific terms (biological sex) in the curriculum. Here are their email addresses:

And as always, it is important to keep this petition going, so please forward a link to this petition to friends, and family encouraging them to protect our kids privacy needs, insisting that in certain areas, it is “biological sex” that matters, not gender identity.

Thank you.
