Being in an art school with uniforms restricts our creative abilities enough. The administration has given us eighth graders the ability to wear jeans on Fridays. With this in mind they gave usMore restrictions to limit our newly endorsed privilege. We have students barely have room to show a creative ideas for clothing. No ripped jeans, solid colors only, but don’t think that includes black because it’s not allowed either. A few students also got in trouble for their jeans being too light or too dark. The dress code also made the females feel very violated being that they are getting in trouble for their pants being “too tight” or “too short”. Students (mostly females) have also been getting in trouble for their skirts and shorts even when meeting length requirements they still get told that they are a distraction. On top of that teachers are getting away with harassing students to the point were no one feels safe. So please don't only sign but speak up.
