Dear supporters,
We wanted to update you on Cory Miles' situation with his religious exemption and his district's refusal to provide accommodations for him to continue to serve his community.
A special meeting will be held TOMORROW, Oct. 12, at 6 p.m. at Station 82 (12100 E Palouse Hwy, Valleyford, WA), concerning Cory's employment status.
The Board of Commissioners plans to discuss the "unfinished business of Resolution 21-08, Mandatory Vaccination for Members of Spokane County Fire Protection District No. 8" and "Vaccine Mandate - Accommodation Process." This concerns Cory and his position at the fire district.
As a supporter of Cory and his right to medical freedom, please consider attending this meeting in person or via Zoom (https://us02web.zoom.us/j/3712607781) to show support for Cory and his family.
This meeting could possibly decide the fate of Cory's job status with the SCFD8 as a firefighter/paramedic.
If attending via Zoom, please comment in the chat using the hashtag #SCFD8retainCoryMiles and any other messages of support (please remember to be respectful).
Thank you again for your faithful support of Cory Miles, firefighter/paramedic for Spokane County Fire District 8. We look forward to standing in solidarity and support with him and his family tomorrow at Station 82.
