Rotate Scentsy Family Reunion to one on the West Coast & one in the Midwest each year.

The Issue

Dear Scentsy Leadership and Founders,

We as consultants look forward to the Scentsy Family Reunion every year and dream about finding the money to be able to attend and also where it is going to be.

For those of us that live on the West Coast, it is far more money and expense to travel to the Midwest and East Coast than it is for them to travel to the west coast.

Both Reunions in Vegas were a hit and so much fun.  Vegas has so much to do for everyone and if you hold it in the actual convention center like it was in 2012 it is perfect and we all loved it.  MGM was a lot  more money and a lot harder to get around for anyone with a disability not to mention the cost of food in the hotel itself and if you had a disability, you were NEVER allowed to seat with your team no  matter how many requests were made from your SSD and from us and so many of us found we had been bitten by bed bugs when we got home and we were all ones who stayed at the MGM.

We all kindly ask that you consider choosing one location like Salt Lake one year and then one location in the Midwest the next year and make them the only locations every other year for the Scentsy Family Reunion.

  The Locations we have heard the most from social media are:

# 3 - Anaheim (close Disneyland and California Adventure for 2 days for just consultants and families to enjoy the most magical place on earth),

# 2 - San Diego (same, close sea world for a day, the zoo for a day and then allow us walk on and discount admission prices to Disneyland and California Adventure so we are able to enjoy these wonderful and fun and family friendly locations)  Same for Universal Studios, one day for just Scentsy.  Not only would it be the most wonderful place on earth to hold reunion but also allow those that are never able to reach and achieve the incentive trips to feel as if they had. 

# 1 - Salt Lake City (after all it is the birth place of scentsy) and is so family friendly, water parks, natural history museum, the aquarium, Lagoon, seven peaks and so many other family friendly locations and a great vacation for those that use Reunion as there vacation as well.  Most of the chatter has been about reunion returning and staying in Utah for good.

 # 4 - San Francisco - what an amazing and beautiful city to hold reunion in and so many things to do as a family as well as scentsy as a whole.

# 5 - Boise - the now and forever home of Scentsy.

# 6 - Las Vegas - as long as it is held at the convention center and not a hotel that like the MGM that has an arena/convention center.

We know that those that live on the East Coast and Canada and in the Midwest want to have reunions in there states but those who end up attending aren't the same as the west coast.  We need to try and make a more even trade off to make everyone happy.

We even suggest doing away with World Tour as it is basically a reunion and instead have a reunion on the West Coast and one on the Midwest/East Coast every year instead of just one reunion per year.  This would appeal to everyone and in the long run end up being cheaper for Scentsy.

We Kindly thank you for listening to our request on locations for Scentsy Family Reunion.

We also ask that the Founders of Scentsy, whom without there idea, hard work and so much time and effort we would not have the amazing Scentsy product that we do, should  always have Team Assigned Seating on the floor at the front of the stage and all there team members have this as well including those who have disabilities.  Kara and Colette deserve the royal treatment always and this is part of that royal treatment.  They also deserve to have a team photo taken with Heidi and Orville in each teams photo before the doors even open to the rest of the consultants for awards night and awards night should be taken back to semi-formal dress as it was, these are amazing consultants who have earned amazing awards and should not look out into a sea of consultants in scentsy shirts and jeans, they deserve more, as do Heidi, Orville, Kara and Colette.  But once again keep there teams together on the floor seating front and center, they have earned that right as they should be put back in the catalog as the founders of scentsy, most new consultants who don't know the story behind the creation of this amazing product don't know who Kara and Colette even are and they are never given credit for being the ones that truly created Scentsy that we all know and love.

It would also be a big help like back in the day if somehow there could be 2 set airlines to choose from (example Delta and southwest) that would allow consultants who have to fly to reunion each year a discount for all seating, first class and economy and make it easier on those of your consultants to 1 - afford airfare on top of registration fee's and hotel costs on top of the cost of food and shopping in the family store as well as those that have disabilities, it is hard enough for those with wheelchairs and power chairs and crutches or braces and so on to get through security as it is very hard as it is for those without disabilities and health problems to get through security, see if there is a way go through security easier (no pat downs, invasion of privacy to a lot, not having to take off shoes or removable braces or walking boots, just let them use the x-ray security scanner, it is safer and easier for those with disabilities), maybe even have a set date and time for flights out of each airport for consultants only, making it far easier and less hassle as the only people on the flight would be consultants and offer returning dates as well, most consultants like to arrive the day before and leave the day after, for those that make it there family vacation, then the airline discount just applies to them and not just flights for consultants only who could board outside of the main airport as we would have to have proof to show the staff that we are consultants and belong on the flight and have already been cleared, also makes life for those with disabilities far easier - example those who need walking assistance devices or are non weight bearing and require crutches or a power chair and those that require oxygen or wheelchairs period to all fly first class as they have far more access not to mention far more room to move and sit. Make it even more special to have a big group photo of everyone on the flight outside with the plane behind them with a banner or flag or poster saying Scentsy Family Reunion bound and where they are leaving from and going to with the dates and thank you to the airline and there staff then post those photos in a slideshow for everyone to see as a group.   Also see if the baggage fee could be waived and we be allowed 3 checked bags along with two carry on as we all know we come home with far more than we take with us.  Same for picking rental car companies who would offer a discount or a bus company that would offer a discount.  All of these costs add up to a lot of money for consultants and make it almost impossible for a lot to attend something that we all love and look forward to.  We would also love to see consultants receiving there kits at check in or after the session showing the new products.  That used to be such a fun part of reunion was everyone sprawling out all over to find out what warmer or plug-in they got (as at that time we all got different ones and not all the same ones) and have fun trading with those who loved what you got instead of the one they got if you loved there product better.  We all had so much fun smelling the scents together and being more of a group and being given a "Christmas in July" kit.  Then still allow us like you have done in the store the option to have it shipped home with your store purchases if you need to have that done for one set fee that isn't over the top expensive.   Allow each SSD team a team shirt for team day like we used to get allowed to get and aren't allowed anymore as it wasn't fair for those who couldn't afford to purchase shirts for there teams, ask each team member to pay say $5.00 for there team shirt, it creates so much more spirit.

We talk so much about being a part of a family within Scentsy and having scentsy spirit but it seems like we are having less and less of that each year and a lot of us are loosing so much business to the Walmart warmers and wax as well as others out there that saw the response to Scentsy and created there own wickless candles and much lower costs and we have had so many customers tell us they would and will buy these brands over Scentsy because they are less money and even consultants have said this on a YouTube video comparing the difference between Scentsy and another companies warmer and wax.  How does that reflect on Scentsy as a whole or on us as consultants and that is what is causing so many terminations because consultants just aren't able to hit that $150 every 3 months and now having the newest battle over anyone who is not paid at a Lead Consultant level no matter what there title is, has hit the fan on social media and is causing a lot of consultants to no longer want to be a part of such a great company.
