Just imagine riding or walking from Santa Cruz to Davenport along one of the most scenic coastal trails possible.  The quickest and safest way to build this trail is to approve the plans for keeping the trail on the coastal side of the tracks, far from Highway 1.

The Regional Transportation Commission will be considering this item on Thursday, March 7, and your support is needed NOW.  Please sign this petition to complete our North Coast Trail as soon as possible.

Dear Commissioners,

I fully support the proposed North Coast Rail Trail project and its alignment as described in the Final Environmental Impact Report. I urge you to certify the FEIR and approve the proposed project as the preferred alignment for the following reasons:

* Keeps the trail on the coastal side, far from Highway 1;
* Studies show that it is the environmentally superior solution;
* Can be completed many years sooner than other options; and
* Protects $10 million in funding for this project.
