Note:  This petition is for Chatham County Georgia residents only

Do you consider yourself a compassionate critical thinker?  Are you concerned about government mandates regarding Covid 19 that infringe on individual liberties?  Do you think it's strange that doctors who say one thing are haled as experts and doctors who say the opposite are accused of misinformation?  Are you more concerned about that than the spread of Covid 19?  Are you a parent, grandparent, relative or taxpayer of Savannah Chatham County Public School System worried about the long-term implications of children wearing masks?  If you answered yes to any of these questions, we need your signature today.

Prior to the start of the Savannah Chatham County Public school year, masks were made optional for the 2021-2022 school year.  This was communicated to parents through various forms like texts, emails, voice mails and yard signs posted throughout the community.  Due to an unfortunate massive spike in Covid positives in our area and just seven days before the first day of school, they reneged on the option for masks leaving angry and bewildered parents no time to make other arrangements for their children should they not agree with masking kids.  

Leaning on highly controversial CDC guidelines, SCCPSS board members and the Superintendent have chosen authoritative methods that directly impact the health and well-being of our children without knowing much at all about the efficacy or safety for children wearing masks over an extended period of time.  Their complete unwillingness, also mirrored in the culture at large, to respect the views and wishes of their neighbors who are terribly disturbed by their children being forced to wear masks shows an ironic disregard for others.  Because of this, I hope to gather support in the form of names, the actual people of Chatham County whose voices are continuously quashed in a world driven by highly censored social media where conversation and debate are no longer allowed.  While we are still able to petition, let us make our voices heard in favor of choice, dignity and personal responsibility.
