Arekatika is a caste found in Andhra Pradesh which falls reservation category BC-D. Across India we are nationally called as Khatiks.More than 10 States in India
Khatiks fall in SC reservation category, but unfortunately in Andhra Pradesh we are in BC-D catergory.
Many our commnunity people are lacking in education ,employment opportunities etc and some are still hooked to community business. In district and villages
the situation is  more worse.
Its rather unfair to have different reservation categories for same community roots ,we request the state goverment and central government to have uniformity
in reservation system across India or give us fairer reservation system.
Arekatika porata samthi has given representations , conducted variuos programs and brough to the notice of AP state legislature and continuosly striving to get reservations
and federation which helps in development of our community
