Keep NITV's Big Mob Brekky - Aus tv's first all-Indigenous breakfast show

The issue

In NAIDOC Week 2020, NITV premiered Australia's FIRST INDIGENOUS BREAKFAST SHOW - Big Mob Brekky. The program aired from 7:30am from Monday to Friday of NAIDOC week and was a huge success.

Hosts Shahni Wellington and Ryan Liddle lit up our teles each morning live from Cammeraygal Country at Taronga Zoo, with news, weather, music, celeb and community interviews, and biggest belly laughs. Shahni and Ryan crossed to voices from Indigenous communities across the country,  Elaine Crombie and Luke Carroll featured in comedy segments, and Steve ‘Mungindi’ Ellis hosted daily cook-ups. Celebrities from Ziggy Ramo to Samantha Harris and Ernie Dingo shared their perspectives on NAIDOC week and even their ideal breakfast feed. The 5 day premiere proved that blak Australia CLEARLY has the talent and entertainment-value to take on the famous early morning TV slot.

For many it was an amazing moment to turn on the tele with a cuppa in hand and hear the news, weather and yarns done our way. Big Mob Brekky is the perfect showcase of Indigenous excellence, and it shouldnt end after NAIDOC week.

NITV, Big Mob Brekky worked and WE LOVED IT. PLEASE KEEP BIG MOB BREKKY GOING.  Move over Karl and Kochie - we are ready for a blak brekky show to wake us up every morning.
