My name is Nigel Waweru. I am 10 years old from Nakuru County, Kenya. I am an environmental activist and I greatly advocate against Plastic Pollution and the use of Single-Use Plastics.

Plastics harm and kill humans, animals, birds and marine life. I advocate for the ban of Single-Use Plastics once and for all! Until that happens and since change begins with us, I am presenting a petition to all of us to cut one or more, if not all Single-Use Plastics from our lives. 

Can you imagine the difference it could make to our environment if we all cut out one or more, if not all single-use plastics completely from our lives? It could be plastic cutlery, plastic bottles, straws, ziplock bags etc. unfortunately, this list is so long and full of unnecessary things that we can comfortably do without. 

This petition calls on:

1. The Ministry of Environment, Climate & Forestry in collaboration with the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) to sensitise the public on dangers of single use plastics.

2. The Ministry of Environment, Climate & Forestry in collaboration with the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) not only enforce laws that prohibit the use of single use plastics in National Parks, beaches, forests and conservation areas but introduce legislation that will ban the use of single use plastics in the rest of the country.
