UW has introduced a new tradition at Husky Stadium this season:

having the DJ lead the entire stadium in the “Say Who” chant that the players use in the tunnel before games.

The result has been a DISASTER. While the chant may work as a player tradition, it simply does not translate to a stadium-wide fan chant. It is complicated, difficult to learn, and nearly impossible for 70,000+ fans to execute together without extensive instruction. The result has been awkward and disjointed rather than intimidating or exciting, with many fans either not knowing the words or simply standing there wondering what is happening.  Even worse, it’s a major turn off for highly rated recruits attending the games.  Husky Stadium already has an incredible collection of organic traditions and crowd chants that come naturally to the fanbase. We are asking UW Athletics to let the players keep “Say Who” as their own tunnel tradition, but stop forcing it on the entire stadium. Say Who? SAY STOP!
