Say No to worse passenger rights

The Issue

A dangerous revision of EU law is underway, which will strip away our passenger rights, leaving us with longer delays and less compensation.

Signing our petition sends a clear message to the EU:

✅ Make passenger rights stronger, not weaker

✅ Keep the 3-hour rule for compensation

✅ Protect travelers, not airline profits

What’s at risk? More delays, less compensation

Airlines will delay more flights for longer, and 60% of delay claims today will no longer qualify for compensation.

🚨Up to 6 hour delays
Flights will be delayed longer—4 or even 6 hours with no consequences for the airline.

🚨Even less compensation
Passengers will get up to €100 less compensation. Yet all our costs are rising!

🚨More airline excuses
More exceptions means airlines won’t pay for strikes or other delays that are their fault

🚨Fees for all luggage
Only bags less than 15cm wide are free, airlines can charge for everything else.

Passengers have been forgotten

These changes to your rights are being rushed through without any input from passengers. Who benefits? The airlines.

It’s not OK.

That’s why we’re raising the alarm, and calling on all air passengers to oppose the revision. Don’t allow your rights to be erased this summer. Say no to worse air passenger rights by signing our petition today.

Facts about your rights

  • Current regulations cost airlines just €1 per ticket
  • 12 million passengers will lose their rights
  • On average, every flight disruption costs you €366
  • Most passengers want compensation after 2 hour delays

EC 261 is a European success story

For the last 20 years the EU has been at the forefront of strong air passenger rights.

✅ Fewer disruptions: EC 261 incentivises airlines to minimise delays and cancellations.

✅ Fair compensation & care: When things go wrong, passengers are protected with clear rights.

✅ Global gold standard: EC 261 is copied all around the world and sets the standard for passenger protection.
