Dear supporters, This morning there was an announcement that there will be a review on the backpacker tax. Federal Tourism Minister Richard Colbeck will lead the review. This is great news, and we look forward to engaging with the government to voice our concerns on the impact of the backpacker tax to exacerbate exploitation of backpackers. But our job is far from over. The National Farmers Federation suggests backpackers tax to be reduced to 19% without the tax-free threshold. We think this is unfair and we want to have our voice heard. Are you a backpacker? Do you have any stories to share? Do you work in cash-in-hand job market?
