The Issue
MIAMI COMMISSIONERS READY TO REPLACE BOARD OF VIRGINIA KEY BEACH PARK TRUST
The City of Miami Commission is proposing a change to the Virginia Key Beach Park Trust Board Ordinance 12201 (Section 38-233). The proposed change will eliminate the current Board of Trustees to establish and appoint the District 5 Commissioner as Chair along with other Commissioners as Board Members. This is unacceptable!
On Thursday, October 13, 2022 the City of Miami Commission will vote to change Ordinance 12201 Section 38-233 to remove the current Board of Trustees that have anchored Historic Virginia Key Beach Park (HVKBP).
