SAY NO to Proposed Super Wawa Construction in Mt. Laurel on Route 38
We oppose Super Wawa #ZB20-D-09 site proposed to be built immediately next door to Stiles Sunoco who’s been at this location since 1975. Burden of proof of negative impact, a substantial detriment to the good of the public if the zoning board approves Wawa’s proposal!
I’m against the proposed Wawa because it adversely affects traffic, non-compatible use with surrounding area use, use that will injure and detract from the use of neighboring property and character of the neighborhood, adjacent property use not adequately safeguarded, site is not suitable for intended use, will not serve the best interest of the Township, adversely affect adjacent property’s well water use, safe flow of highway traffic & adequate roadway accesses, unprotected roadways from undue congestion & hazards, lower property value of surrounding properties and the Township would benefit more from permitted Business District use. Conditional use variances needed for deficient lot size, building setbacks from surrounding roads, impervious coverage, excessive building height, fence height, signs and size of sign, deficient sidewalks, removal of 20 trees, insufficient parking for regular & oversized vehicles plus more waivers needed to fit our zoning board’s regulations.
