Demand Your Say - We ( County Cllr Teresa Cullen & County Cllr Steve Carr) oppose the dismantling of Broxtowe Borough and the merging of Broxtowe with Nottingham City Council, being instigated by the Labour Government.

We believe the residents of Broxtowe deserve a SAY in such drastic changes to their services and boundaries, currently they are being kept OUT of the conversation.

Nottinghamshire councils produced three options. Broxtowe is merged with the City in 2 of them. More proposals are now being proposed by City leaders. All without any public or stakeholder consultation. 

We call on the Leaders of Nottinghamshire County Council to conduct a full and comprehensive consultation, not restricted to just the three interim proposals, with the public and stakeholders in Nottinghamshire to include the option of Do Nothing before committing to any final proposal ahead of the November 2025 deadline.
