We all agree we need cleaner energy but we need to think more about where these industrial size solar farms are located.

Wiltshire already has more solar farms than other counties, however developer's are in the process of three new 200 acre sites. Unfortunately Forest Gate and Leigh Delamare have been approved but now they have their sights on 60MW at Kington St Michael. If the KSM farm goes through it will be approx 4x the size of the village and 3rd largest in the UK!

This will lead to the destruction of the rural landscape for 40 years, good arable land currently used for producing grain in a "Cost of Living crisis" replaced by solar panels. (This has also been questioned, https://sciencing.com/negative-effects-solar-energy-6325659.html) The KSM farm alone will have 1,000 lorries delivering 70,000+ panels possibly upto 4m in height. After the solar farm it is easier to obtain planning on that land for housing. (After meeting with MP James Gray he confirmed this to be the case).

(If you download the Eden renewables day 1 presentation they state the land to be grade 4 and 3b, please refer to Defra where it is clear none of the land is grade 4.)

We need to stop all three developments from progressing.
