Petition to the Walworth County Board of Supervisors:

We, the undersigned residents of Walworth County, have learned that the Walworth County Board of Supervisors is being asked to consider building a housing facility for violent sex offenders on Hodges Road in the Town of Lafayette, County of Walworth. 

We have also learned that you have been asked by the Racine County Executive to join Racine in lobbying the State of Wisconsin to change the law, so that Racine violent sex offenders can be placed in Walworth County. 

We urge you to reject both of these proposals and protect what matters most—our families, our community, and our children.

The property on Hodges Road is wooded, secluded, and surrounded by families. Children live directly across the road. Many more live and play in the surrounding neighborhood. The site is also near Southern Lakes Evangelical Free Church, a place where families gather and children learn.

This is a significant threat to the safety of our families and the value of our homes.

Please say no to bringing unnecessary predators into our neighborhoods from outside Walworth County.
