Dear Licensed Professional,
September 1 has arrived and gone, and the Barber and Cosmetology legislation is now in effect. While cosmetology licenses require CE hours, many barbers are unsure of the next steps to maintain licensure. Don’t fear—I'm here to guide you through the simple, compliant path and help you remain in compliance with monthly in-person CE hour approved professional development education that includes community awareness.
As licensed professionals, we know that the Texas barber license prohibits eyelash services and the cosmetology license prohibits straight-edge razor use, so only those skills are restricted while other competencies remain open to advancing. My ask is that you do not limit your skill set based on your license type because we can all learn from each other.
With that being said, "Education Is Everywhere, Where Will You Go To Grow?" The travel will be worth it!
