The Issue

"BHARAT TERE TUKDE HONGE..." — WILL KARNATAKA & BENGALURU TOLERATE THIS ON OUR SOIL?!

ARE WE IN BENGALURU READY TO SILENTLY WATCH THE GLORIFICATION OF THOSE WHO SPOKE OF INDIA’S DESTRUCTION?

A CALL TO EVERY CITIZEN OF KARNATAKA, STUDENT OF BENGALURU, AND PATRIOT:

Do these horrifying slogans ring in your ears?

  • "Bharat Tere Tukde Honge, Inshallah Inshallah!" (India, you will be broken into pieces, Inshallah, Inshallah)
  • "Bharat Ki Barbadi Tak Jung Chalegi!" (The war will continue until India is destroyed)
  • "Afzal Hum Sharminda Hain, Tere Qatil Zinda Hain!" (Afzal, we are ashamed, your killers are still alive)

Will the proud citizens of Karnataka and Bengaluru tolerate a premier institution in our state capital—the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru—being used to screen a documentary on Umar Khalid? Will we allow the soil of Bengaluru to host the glorification of a key figure associated with anti-national rhetoric, Afzal Guru commemorations, and the conspiracy behind the CAA-NRC riots?

AND YET, RIGHT HERE IN BENGALURU, ACADEMIC SPACES ARE BEING OFFERED TO SCREEN HIS DOCUMENTARY!

While the NLSIU administration in Bengaluru has currently postponed the screening of Lalit Vachani’s documentary (Prisoner No. 626710 is Present) under public pressure, a postponement is NOT a cancellation. They are waiting for the outrage across Karnataka to cool down.

OUR DEMANDS TO THE NLSIU BENGALURU ADMINISTRATION:

  • Complete and Permanent Ban: Issue an immediate, official declaration cancelling all permissions for filming, screening, or promoting this documentary on the Bengaluru campus permanently.
  • Strict Accountability: Ensure Karnataka's premier educational infrastructure is never again made available to glorify figures accused of destabilizing national security.
  • Uphold National Sovereignty: Stand with the Constitution and the nation, not with anti-national rhetoric.
