Urgent Appeal ------> Help STOP DEEP-SEA MINING!
The Nordic Council passed a resolution in favour of a moratorium on deep-sea mining in International Waters (The High Seas). This is excellent news as it sends a clear signal to Norway and Iceland that their ambitions to mine the deep-sea, whether in their own waters or elsewhere, are not welcome,
We must keep the pressure on! When I started campaigning on this issue four years ago hardly anyone spoke out against the terrifying prospect of deep-sea mining. Now 32 countries call for a moratorium, countless NGOS, businesses, financial institutions, hundreds of scientists and even many in the fishing sector reject deep-sea mining.
We can win this campaign, but we must not become complacent! Support The Ocean Hope Expedition today and help us deliver more victories.
