Victory: A major company suspends investments in deep-sea mining

Over 343,000 of you have signed this petition! And it is working!

Appeal: Just 5 euro/dollars from each of you (or the equivalent of your favourite drink) to The Ocean Hope Project will enable so much more action to stop deep-sea mining. Support The Ocean Hope Project and spread the word!

Latest Update: Our resistance is working! Speculative mining company GSR has suspended further investments in deep-sea mining. The delays in approving deep-sea mining to go ahead in our global commons, The High Seas, as a result of our collective resistance, is too proving too costly for GSR. 

Whilst this is a great milestone. We are not out of the woods yet. We must keep up this pressure and ensure deep-sea mining is not legally approved. The more we push back on opening up the deep-sea to mining the less financially attractive it becomes for companies to invest. 

This is a campaign of stamina. Nothing is ever won without persistence and a belief that things can be different!
