Say No to Countryside's revised Marlowe Road plans

Say No to Countryside's revised Marlowe Road plans
Why this petition matters

As a new resident as of January to Wood Street I have nothing but joy for the community I have gained since being here. As a first time buyer I couldn’t have dreamed for a better borough to call home after spending years renting in London.
However, unfortunately this could be impacted, not just for me, but all the surrounding neighbours and local community in and around Marlowe Road, Wood Street.
Majority of the neighbours purchased property in the new Feature 17 development due to the fact it was in keeping with the local area and promised to continue to keep the community at the heart as it expanded. The plans we all agreed on upon purchase showing further social housing and a matching 6 floor development opposite. This was also agreed upon with local residents at the time.
Unfortunately, Countryside has recently filed for planning permission that goes back on this promise and outlines to build a huge 8 storey complex which will massively shadow the whole block and surrounding existing houses, stripping all of us of privacy and light in its wake. The new complex's windows will sit a mere 9 meters away from our own. An additional 141 flats crammed into the space, not healthy for those already here or the homes they plan to create. All this without consulting the community and residents, in a bid to pitch the new plans as a "revision" not a complete change.
You can the view the original plans, the new plans and the Daylight Sunlight and Overshadowing Report here: https://builtenvironment.walthamforest.gov.uk/planning/index.html?fa=getApplication&id=52643
Evidence in the findings of the Daylight Sunlight and Overshadowing Report for the proposed plan show only 113 Living Rooms meet guidance, with over half (54.8%) not meeting the minimum daylight guidelines needed for healthy homes.
Why should current residents pay the price with their wellbeing?
These proposed plans that compromise existing neighbours privacy, light and health are an not example of Countryside promise to create "Places People Love" and they need to listen to their current residents concerns to resolve this.
Please sign this petition for the local residents surrounding Marlowe Road to be able to keep the healthy homes they live in.
If you wish, the application will be considered by the Council at the meeting of its Planning Committee on Monday 18th July 2022 at 7PM at Council Chamber, Waltham Forest Town Hall, Forest Road, E17 4J and we would love to see anyone come and support us.
Thank you for your time.
