My life, as well as the lives of others in the Willoughby City, are being greatly affected by the impending regulation: Notice of Motion 09/2025 - Amendment of Development Control Plan to Protect Indoor Air Quality by Preventing Connection of Gas Appliances. This motion, proposed by Councillor John Moratelli for the Willoughby City Council meeting on 28th April 2025, feels like an unnecessary intervention in our lives. Residential energy consumption is, and should remain, a private decision.

No government, particularly not local ones, should dictate how we should choose to live, especially when there are few alternatives presented.
