Exciting news! We’re proud to announce the launch of Holding Ground, an art exhibition fundraiser to raise money for our campaign to Save Arthurs Seat.
The exhibition features an exciting selection of local, Melbourne and interstate artists working across mediums including sculpture, painting, drawing, jewellery, ceramics, textiles, photography, digital art and printmaking. The works are thematically connected through their exploration of identity and the natural world.
Holding Ground is now live here.
Curated by Penelope Gebhardt, and proudly brought to you in partnership with Merricks General Wine Store and Montalto, the aim is to raise $100,000 to support our campaign, including increasing efforts to convince the Ross Trust/ Hillview Quarries to withdraw their proposal.
If the EES (Environmental Effects Statement) is released, the funds raised will be used to employ experts to assess the EES and provide legal representation at the hearings.
Should the Ross Trust withdraw from the project before the funds are used, they will be donated to the Peninsula Landcare Network to support their important work.
