Thanks to your help, awareness of the community's opposition to a proposed casino is gaining more attention. Tonight, the local NBC affiliate ran a story about the status of the proposal and the campaign opposing it.

The threat is real. A State Senator interviewed on camera for the story reiterated his plan to reintroduce the casino bill in the new session of the Virginia General Assembly.

We must continue building momentum! The big money interests behind the proposal are just getting started.

A coalition of community groups, and community leaders like me, have formed Citizens Opposed to Reston Casino and set up a website and social media presence to build a grassroots effort to defeat the casino threat.
