The Olympia Cafe is a Savannah icon. Started by two Greek immigrants and have flourished for decades at their current location on River Street. Now the city of Savannah is refusing to renew the lease. The owners have spend thousands improving the space as well as emerging to continue thriving after a devastating fire. After the sudden and sad passing of one of the owners, the surviving owner is fighting to keep his livelihood in place. 

If this business closes a large piece of Savannah will be gone. The location is paramount for success. It's not just for tourists like the rest of River Street, locals love this place and the Greek food. The last thing we need is another hotel if that's the plan.

The lease is up on October so it's important that the City council and Mayor know how important this business is to those of us that care.
