SAVING EARTH CLUB. I’m making awareness around the world to stop wrecking our Planet.

The Issue

I would like to introduce myself as Leisha Sabharwal. I’m 9 years old and I’m a student of Pathways School,Noida, India. Besides, I’m the founder of the “Saving Earth Club “.I took the Initiative of making awareness how people are harming the planet for making their life comfortable and if every single person on this planet takes small small initiatives then we can lead to success of saving our planet.

I am deeply concerned about our Mother Earth, our generation and our future generations.I don’t know whether we will survive after 30 or 50 years? Will we be able to utilise the resources? Will we be able to see the nature, the birds, the animals, the mountains? Will we be able to drink fresh water and breathe fresh air? There are unlimited questions which have doubtful answers. It is a matter fact, the way today people are using the resources, every thing is getting finished and nothing will be available to our generation and our next generation. Not only this, we all are aware how people  are polluting the planet . Do you know, why today we can’t see the clear sky with bright stars? It is due to too much of artificial lightning. Also, I feel depressed to see that most of the sea animals and land animals eat plastic or dirt when they are hungry and because of this they are dying. In addition, because of global warming so many animals are getting extinct like polar bears. Not only thus, as the world grapples with the far-reaching consequences of climate change, the urgency to address this global crisis has never been more apparent. The impacts of climate change are already evident in rising sea levels, melting ice caps, and more frequent and severe weather events.

It’s a high time now and lots of awareness and steps have to be taken by us.This matter is very important not only to me but all of us because we all want to see a cleaner and greener planet where everyone can live in harmony. Let us together take pledge to protect our Mother Earth. Let’s invest in our Planet.  Let’s embrace sustainable practices as a tribute to our shared home. Planting trees can be a symbolic gesture of nurturing the very soil that binds us together. Imagine a nation where every citizen contributes to increasing green cover, one sapling at a time. The time is now to start giving environmental education, Aware people around us,  Clean the environment, Do not pollute, Apply 3Rs strategy and any other steps if we can take we should.

The consequences of inaction are dire, affecting not only the environment but also the well-being of current and future generations. It is time for individuals, communities, and nations to unite, working towards a sustainable and resilient future for our planet. It’s our responsibility to work as a team and save our Mother Earth.

Let’s also raise our commitment to the planet. It’s time to usher in a new era where environmental responsibility is an inherent part of our national identity. Together, as responsible citizens, let’s weave a narrative of hope and sustainability for our Mother Earth.

I am certain that one day we all will live a happy life with all the available resources on our beautiful planet if we all become a part of this revolution.

Suggestions are always welcome.
